Antoine Puech, Ph.D.

Chief Executive Officer & Chairman

Antoine Puech founded Maximum Economic Yield (MEY Corporation) in 1993. MEY grew to be a multinational crop protection company, selling a variety of generic crop inputs, to legacy publicly owned agricultural corporations, and to distribution in North and South America and Europe. AgLogic Chemical L.L.C., a wholly owned affiliate of MEY Corporation, was formed in 2010, and its team successfully reintroduced EPA registered AgLogic 15 GG aldicarb to the U.S. market in 2016. AgLogic aldicarb is only sold under a strict stewardship agreement to distribution and its qualified state licensed restricted use pesticide license holders.

Puech grew up on a family farm, and has a broad range of professional experience, including U.S. and international agricultural product development, marketing, import and export logistics, finance, registration and sales management.

​Dr. Puech holds degrees from the University of California, Davis: a Ph.D. in Botany – 1973, a M.S. in Horticulture – 1969 and a B.S. in Plant Science – 1968.


Larry Hodges, Ph.D.

Director of Regulatory Affairs

Larry Hodges joined MEY Corporation in May 2013​. He fulfills a critical role in the company, bringing 33 years of experience in regulatory affairs at Union Carbide, Rhone-Poulenc, Aventis CropScience and Bayer CropScience, as well as seven years in product development. During his tenure at those companies, he developed strong working relationships within the EPA and served on several committees at Crop Life America, including the Registration Committee and International Registration Committee.

During his career, Hodges has planned registration strategy and defense of more than 30 different proprietary and commodity products – notably aldicarb and fipronil. He obtained domestic and international crop registrations for aldicarb and was responsible for implementing regulatory strategies that secured aldicarb reregistration (RED) in 2007. He also developed the core registration data package and managed initial registrations with the EPA for fipronil.

Dr. Hodges holds his B.S. and M.S. in Entomology and his Ph.D. in Nematology and Entomology from the University of California, Davis.


Kathy Martyn

Chief Operating Officer

Kathy Martyn joined the MEY Corporation management team in 2006. Martyn oversees the operational functions in addition to managing the supply chain. Kathy brings a wealth of prior operational and sales experience in the utility and hazardous waste industries. She also served 10 years in campus ministry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

She holds an MBA from the University of North Florida as well as an undergraduate degree from the University of North Florida​.


Beth Gunn

Controller

Beth Gunn joined MEY Corporation upon its start in 1993. Beth is responsible for all accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and Human Resources. 

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Beth holds a commercial real estate license and has been a managing broker for a large commercial firm in Chapel Hill for more than 25 years. She manages many properties with large multinational tenants. The properties occupied by both AgLogic and MEY Corporation are managed by Beth. She has also held a North Carolina Notary License for 30 years.

She and her husband have five children and a growing number of grandchildren.


Buzz Floyd

Chief Financial Officer

Buzz Floyd serves as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer. He grew up in a small town in Southern Illinois and spent many hours working on farms doing things such as cutting ditches and “bucking” bales of hay and straw. He spends as much time as possible enjoying the outdoors and has a strong appreciation for wildlife and conservation efforts. After graduating from Southern Illinois University he started his career in St. Louis, Missouri with a Fortune 500 company.

The entrepreneurial itch first came when a senior executive asked him to partner in executing a leveraged buyout of a division belonging to a public firm. Buzz accepted, become CFO and a managing shareholder of the new company, and learned to fully appreciate that “happiness is a positive cash flow”. Buzz has gone on to help numerous fast growth companies stay on track in roles as both a CFO and consultant. He says, “I have a lot of respect for the passion of the team members here and their knowledge in the areas of crop protection. There’s a lot of pride in what we’re doing. It’s gratifying to help farmers and growers and our team does it right.”

Buzz’s certifications include CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and Lean Six Sigma (Level: Black Belt). He also maintains a real estate brokers license in North Carolina.


Lee Hall

VP of Business Development

AgLogic Chemical LLC

Lee Hall is responsible for the development of new business opportunities and the marketing, sales and stewardship of AgLogic™ 15 GG aldicarb insecticide. Lee joined AgLogic Chemical in 2021 after nearly 36 years with Bayer CropScience and legacy companies, most recently as Industry Relations Lead. Lee has a broad range of experiences in strategic marketing, product development and R&D, with a long history of managing insecticide and nematicide portfolios including aldicarb.

Lee holds a B.S. in Biology from Greensboro College and an M.S. in Entomology from North Carolina State University.


Mark Bishop

Executive Vice President

Mark Bishop joined MEY Corporation and its affiliate AgLogic Chemical, as Executive Vice President in 2024. In this role, Mr. Bishop will be responsible for overseeing and servicing existing customers as well as the development of new business opportunities and marketing operations. He brings decades of industry experience to the team, having been the Vice President of sales and business development for nationwide distributor CNI, VP of Sales who oversaw account management at Cheminova, and marketing and sales roles at MANA (now Adama) where he oversaw their herbicide portfolio.

Earlier in his career, during the transition of Rhone-Poulenc Agrochemie to Aventis and later to Bayer, he worked as a product manager and was responsible for the launch of Option® corn herbicide.

Originally from Gretna, NE, Mr. Bishop earned his B.S. degree from Iowa State University in Agricultural Business. In his spare time Mark enjoys spending time with his family and granddaughter, hiking, working outside in the yard, and skydiving with his son and friends.
